We opened the meeting this month with some reflections on the one year anniversary of the Race Equality Commission and an update on the work the Board has sponsored to find a mechanism for ensuring a meaningful and long-lasting legacy from the commission. We then heard an update on the work of Joined-up Heritage Sheffield - alongside this we heard about the Roots and Futures project which has been focused on embedding the perspectives of diverse communities in telling the story of the city’s heritage. The second part of the meeting was devoted to an in-depth session on the City Goals.
